For boats

Depth: 8m
Bottom: mud and kelp
Holding: very good
Protection: 4 on 5
Area: nice 3-4 hrs walking to the glacier or mountain with lovely view
GPS: 54 56.44S 69 09.10W

It is well protected and worth to visit place. Drop and swing at anchor at 15 meters or (better) tie 2 extra ropes to the shore. The line of trees protect from strong wind from SW-W-NW. Only strong E gust makes anchorage danger.

At the entrance keep closer to the west to pass kelp and shallows to the E.

The wind is stronger in the middle of the bay, decreasing closer to the beach.

For crews

Do a 3-5hrs walking trip to the Ventisquero Holanda glacier or climb up to see magnificent view.
The best dingy landing point is 50 meters up to the river on the other side of the bay (see chart). Keep closer to the north coast, the river is shallow, especially on low water and has rocky ground.
