For boats
Yacht Club Valdivia is the only
marina in the city.
Approaching
by Rio Valdivia is about 10 Nm long, a little narrow and shallow (depth of 3m)
but well marked by green and red buoys.
Inside
basin is for small boats only (up to 10-11m). For bigger yachts are 3 outside
piers with depth about 3 and length 25 meters. If there are occupied ask for
berthing a longside.

If marina
is full (regular at high season) you can stay (be moved) to Marina la Estancilla which is located in the
middle of Rio Valdivia (5Nm downstream).
If you plan
to visit Yacht Club Valdivia it is best to contact them in advance (e-mail).
You can buy a fulel and deliver yourself in jerry cans from nearest petrol station (Copec)
Formalities
Valdivia is a port of entry.
If you are
already check in to Chile
you have to visit Armada de Chile ASAP after arriving and before departing.
Only captain has to go with passports, boat document and Zarpe (if you got one
in another chilies harbor).

Marina is only 15minutes walking to the
city center.
The town of
Valdivia is one of the most beautiful in Chile. Many
parks, greens, old buildings. You should visit the local market (with many
lobos marinos), local bars and restaurant, submarine (museum) and many more.
In 1960
there was the biggest earthquakes ever. Now rebuild is a center for students
and tourists.
