Aukena is located just few miles SE from Rikitea. There is some buildings on the coast but when we visiting that place they where unfriendly (go away it’s privet).
Anyway along the coast there is a beauty sand beach worth to visit. On the W corner you can visit a ruins of church and uninhabited small village.
Drop the anchor between corals about 0.2Mm from the cost. We did it on position 23 deg 07.512S and 134 deg 54.163W (sand, depth about 15m).

Dinghy landing on the beach, no problem with shallows on corals. Take a walk along the beach, swim, visit the ruins.
