APPROACH AND ANCHORAGE
This anchorage can be approached from the west (90 deg. route). Anchorage position:

19 53.233S and 174 24.981W (6m depth, mostly sand, holding good)

This is well protected anchorage, from N-NE-E-SE wind directions. Some boats anchor closer to the island.

Watch on the reef, which ends at the outer channel marker. Using above anchor position you will not reach a reef.

DINGHY LANDING

Go to the concrete wharf (is ruined but walkable). You can tie your dinghy there to the rock. Alternatively land on the beach on the right from the wharf. You can tie to the tree.

GROCERIES

There is few small shop in the village, do not expect much. Some vegetables and fruits you can buy from locals.

WiFi,

If you have Digicel Sim card, a weak signal is covering the anchorage, but it’s working.

ATMs, BANK, WATER, FUEL

Not available

For crews

There are two villages (Uiha on the north and Felemer on the South), both wide but not with many houses. Few nice churches, some destroyed by cyclones. Not many to do.

The beach around is beautiful, you can walk around and swim.

It’s possible to walk across the reef to Tatafa Island during low tide (or go there by dinghy). The island is uninhabited, has lovely beach and many flying foxes around.
