For boats
VHF CH69
(Bahia Marina)
Approach is
easy. Sail inside the Baia de Todos os Santos
and you will see a breakwater of the marina. Turn right around the and of the
breakwater and sail inside. Call Bahia marina
on CH 69 (not 12 as written in Imray). Wait inside the marina for marina stuff
(dinghy), they will show a berth place. Marina
is well sheltered from the waves and winds.
The marina
has 300 places, berth stern or bow to pontoons using pick-up lines. Visit a
marina office with boat’s paper and passports (captain only). Stuff are
friendly and helpful, some speaks English,
Electricity
110V and 230V and water on the pontoons
Floating
fuel station in the marina (petrol and diesel). 3 BRL per 1 litre of diesel. Open
until 1800LT.
Repairs,
lift (40T), crane, hull cleaning and many other services are available, ask in
marina office.
Port is
well secured by guards and electric gates, anyway keep a sharp look for your
equipment on the deck.
For crews
Marina has bars, restaurants, shops,
chandleries, but all of them are exclusive end expensive.
WC and
showers are located in marina building and are ok.
Provisions
are available in many markets. I suggest Bompreço, about 2km from marina. Take
a taxi – fee 12BRL.
Walking
during the evenings and night are not recommended (safety reasons), but the old
town area is protected by police, and even evening sightseeing are ok.
Fees
- 180 BRL for
46ft yacht (December 2015) – card payment accepted
- Taxi to old
town less then 20BRL
