THE MARINA is located in the Northern Basin (Basen Północny, 53°54’48”N 14°16’28”E) on the island of Uznam. Sheltered from the open waters, it is surrounded by the greenery of the Spa Park and the fortifications dating back to XIX century, and at the same time it is located within a short distance of the town centre.


The basin is relatively large and safe, it is not threatened by waves, and due to its location at the entrance to the Świnoujście Port the harbour is an exceptionally good place for sailors. The marina meets high quality standards and has three times been awarded „The Blue Flag” - the internationally recognised quality symbol.

THE MARINA CAPACITY AND FACILITIES:


• capacity of ca. 250 vessels, max. draught of 4m (after modernisation it will accommodate up to 400 vessels), any vessels of the max. draught of 6m may be moored at the outer quay,
• sanitary, washing and drying facilities,
• access to the Internet,
• potable water and electric power supply, fuel station,
• a tavern and a grocery store.




ŚWINOUJŚCIE MARINA RULES

I. General provisions and definitions.

1. The permanent administrator of the marina in Świnoujście, hereinafter referred to as the Marina is the “Wyspiarz” Centre of Sport and Recreation in Świnoujście.
2. The Marina is situated in the area of the Northern Basin (Basen Północny, 53*54’48’’N14* 16’28’’E) at the streets: Jachtowa, Rogozińskiego and Władysława IV.

II. The internal regulations binding at the Marina.

1. All persons staying at the premises of the Marina are obliged to observe these Rules and to follow instructions given by the Marina staff members.
2. The Marina charges for its services as per the pricelist approved by the President
of Świnoujście Municipality.
3. On the Marina’s premises it s forbidden to:
- park cars where it is not allowed,
- slip a vessel without consent from the Marina’s staff,
- use the Marina’s amenities and equipment contrary to their intended use,
- bring unleashed dogs to the Marina premises,
- litter the Marina area, destroy any elements of the shore protection,
- block the fire escape routes, passages, piers, wharves and slips,
- drink alcohol or be under the influence of alcohol,
- take any intoxicants or psychotropic drugs,
- wash any cars or trailers,
- angle without consent from the Marina’s staff,
- bathe or swim,
- make a fire without consent from the Marina staff,
- anchor to the entrance to the basin,
- move in a way jeopardising safety of the yachts or the harbour’s equipment,
- moor in places intended for other yachts, without consent from the Marina staff,
- make any repair works on the vessels moored at the harbour,
- run business activities at the Marina’s premises without a consent from the Director of the “Wyspiarz” Centre of Sport and Recreation in Świnoujście.

III. Watercraft staying at the Marina.

1. All yachts are entitled to stop in the harbour as long as there is enough space in the harbour basin.
2. Visiting yachts users wishing to berth should observe the following procedure:
- stop in the harbour basin and report to the Marina staff,
- make an entry to the “Register of entering and leaving vessels”
- pay the berthing fee,
- move the yacht to a place at the wharf as instructed by the Marina staff,
- any formalities connected with the yacht’s berthing at the wharf as well as payments must be done immediately after mooring the boat, guests are requested
to proceed to the Marina’s office to submit and sign relevant documents
(berthing application).
3. The boat user is responsible for its correct and safe mooring.
4. The berths assigned to the vessels are not permanent. If ordered by the Marina staff, the crew are obliged to reberth the vessel to any other place indicated by the staff (this situation may take place e.g. during regattas or other events). In case it is not possible to contact the crew or the crew fails to obey the instructions,
the Marina staff may reberth the vessel and moor it in another place.
5. Berthing fees are to be paid in cash in advance for the stated berthing period of a specific vessel, without a possibility to sublet the berth. Berthing fee may be paid by bank transfer only with a consent of the Marina staff and only when according to the presented documents the person is authorised to represent the entity to which the invoice is to be issued (an excerpt from the National Court Register or other register) and which is to make the bank transfer. If any vessel user does not pay the fee or refuses to present or sign relevant documents, he/she shall immediately leave the harbour and be forbidden to return, this shall be seen to by the Marina administration, or if need be by the Police, the Marine Inspectorate or a representative of the Harbour Master’s Office. If the fees become
overdue, the administrator shall file an appropriate application to list the defaulting entity in the register of debtors.
6. The berthing fees are stated in the pricelist approved by the President of the Municipality of Świnoujście. Boat owners who permanently berth at the harbour must submit a berthing application which constitutes an Appendix to these Rules.
7. The person signing the berthing application indicates the entity on behalf of which the berthing agreement is concluded. The person signing the berthing application becomes liable for making the payment under the agreement, any indemnification and other acts connected with the vessel’s berthing in the Marina.
8. The staff of the Marina or the “Wyspiarz” Centre of Sport and Recreation in Świnoujście shall not be held responsible for any damages to the yachts, their equipment or their crew’s property. It is recommended to keep watch, especially in severe weather conditions.
9. In case of disobeying these Rules and other binding regulations on the Marina premises, appropriate Services are entitled to intervene: the Police, the Municipal
Police, the Marine Inspectorate, the Harbour Master’s Office, the Border Police, so as to restore the law and order and to punish the persons guilty of violating the regulations.
10. All persons staying at the premises of the Marina are obliged to observe these Rules and to follow instructions given by the Marina staff members.
11. Entering the Marina’s basin and using its services is tantamount to accepting the conditions and principles stipulated in these Rules.

IV. Entering and leaving the Marina.

1. Users of all yachts entering and leaving the Marina’s basin are obliged to report to the Marina staff.2. The aforementioned rule also pertains to vessels leaving the Marina by road transport.

V. Using the Marina’s amenities.

1. The Marina’s facilities or equipment may only be used in consultation with the Marina staff.
2. Connecting any water intake hoses may only be effected in consultation with the Marina staff.

VI. Safety and fire regulations.

1. The regular traffic regulations apply on the Marina premises.
2. On the Marina premises, the general water safety guidelines and fire regulations apply.
3. In case of emergency or a threat to life, health or property, anyone who witnesses
such an event should immediately notify the Marina staff, in person or by phone (0048-91-321-91-77).
4. The Marina staff organises and manages a rescue operation and to that end they are entitled to engage in the operation anybody present in the Marina, and also to use the equipment belonging to the vessels staying in the Northern Basin.
5. Any persons asked to participate in the rescue operation must immediately conform
to the instructions given by the person in charge of the rescue operation.
6. If need be, the Marina staff notifies: Fire Service ‑ phone no. 998, the Police phone no. 997, the Emergency Ambulance Service phone no. 999, the Harbour
Master’s Office phone no. 0048-91-321-3668, the Director – phone no. 0048-91-321-3781, Technical Manager of the “Wyspiarz” Centre of Sport and Recreation in Świnoujście – phone no. 0048-781-180-864.

VII. Rules on the vessels winter storage.

1. Vessels and private equipment may be stationed in the area of the Northern Basin
at a place indicated by the Marina staff employee, following the submission of the “Wintering Application” and the conclusion of an appropriate agreement.
2. For vessels berthing at the Marina a fee is charged as per the binding pricelist.

VIII. Nautical etiquette at the Marina.

1. The generally accepted nautical etiquette is binding in the area of the Marina.
IX. Final provisions.
1. Observance of the Marina’s Rules is supervised by the Director and Technical Manager of the “Wyspiarz” Centre of Sport and Recreation in Świnoujście.
2. The users of the Marina are obliged to observe the Port Regulations, Internal Instructions of the Director of the Maritime Office in Szczecin as well as the binding regulations of the Polish Sailing Association.
4. Any matters which are not stipulated herein shall be governed by the binding legal regulations, including the international regulations on preventing the sea pollution (Marpol 73/78, 1974 Helsinki Convention).
5. The Rules of the Marina located in the Northern Basin in Świnoujście come into effect on 15 April 2011.
